Sunset Software, Inc. of Salt Lake City, Utah announces the availability of the “Free Estate Asset Discovery Tool”, a mobile app designed to help with the discovery of assets, accounts, and life insurance policies of a decedent. In short, this software is designed to simplify the estate settlement process by locating and identifying estate assets. Accordingly, the free tool assists executors and estates in a search of the following: Financial Search: Sunset connects with banks, credit unions, lenders, and investment accounts to uncover all financial assets. Life Insurance Discovery: Sunset works directly with insurance companies to locate life insurance, funeral insurance policies, and other financial assets. Credit Card and Debt Management: The Sunset tool identifies all credit card accounts, personal loans, mortgages, and other financial obligations. Property Search: Sunset automatically searches for any property records associated with the deceased, identifying real estate assets and investments.
According to the National Association of Unclaimed
Property Administrators, “Nearly $70 billion in estate assets is currently unclaimed.” That’s the estimated value between bank accounts, real estate, retirement accounts, etc.
