RESOURCES FOR EXECUTORS AND ESTATES

Legacywyse Gives First-Time Texas Executors One Place to Work Through an Estate

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Texas probate and estate settlement app brings practical tools and clearer information to families navigating the process for the first time.

DALLAS, September 12, 2026 — Legacywyse is an online estate settlement and probate app for first-time executors and families across Texas. When someone dies, the person handling the estate may be facing unfamiliar paperwork, scattered financial records, and decisions about property and belongings.

Legacywyse gives them one place to organize that work and understand the next steps.

Co-founders Logan Waller and Hanson Walker built Legacywyse after experiencing estate settlement as both family members sorting through paperwork and professionals handling assets. They shared a frustration with the disconnected tools and scattered guidance available to families already dealing with a loss.

“Settling an estate doesn’t end with probate. Existing tools handle narrow parts of the process, but families are responsible for the whole thing,” said Walker, who leads product and engineering at Legacywyse. “In my view, if we can’t help them through the entire cycle, we haven’t solved their problem.”

A guided probate plan helps executors work through the estate with a checklist based on the information they provide. Pre-filled document drafts help organize the details needed for probate paperwork, while the documents workspace keeps estate records together for review.

Executors can organize estate finances, real estate, and personal belongings in the same workspace. The inventory tools help record items and photos so families have a shared reference when discussing what to keep, sell, or donate. Family members can review the inventory and share their preferences, while the executor retains final control over allocation decisions.

For the founders, access to information is central to the product’s purpose. Families with limited savings or access to professional support need practical ways to understand the process before making decisions about debts, property, and the belongings someone leaves behind.

“Access to information can shape a family’s financial future for generations,” Walker said. “Information is more accessible than ever, but families still need help making sense of it. We wanted to make that information useful to families who may not be able to afford an attorney.”

Legacywyse offers forms and guidance based on statewide Texas probate rules for all 254 Texas counties. More detailed local court and filing information is available for Dallas, Tarrant, Collin, Denton, Harris, Travis, and Bexar counties. Executors should confirm current local requirements with the county clerk or assigned court before filing.
