York Community Service Association accepts donations during business hours at its York thrift shop. The official page lists clothing and accessories, shoes, bags, jewelry, housewares, dishes, flatware, glassware, home décor, artwork, lamps, linens, towels, curtains, games, toys, bicycles and furniture in excellent condition. Donations must be clean and free of stains or tears, and furniture should not require repair.

The shop excludes electronics, appliances, building supplies, baby equipment, mattresses, exercise equipment, hazardous materials, large rugs and several other categories. YCSA also provides community assistance programs, so donated goods support a local service organization while remaining available for reuse. Executors should check the detailed exclusions before bringing estate contents, especially furniture or mixed household loads. Save a trip! Call York Community Service Association Thrift Shop first to confirm hours and that they are accepting what you’re bringing.
