Services

Wink’s Place is a volunteer-run swap shop at the Rockland Transfer Station that accepts donated reusable goods and offers them back to the community at no charge. The City of Rockland lists accepted items including hard furniture, clothing and shoes, books, dishes, cookware, utensils, games and toys, artwork and art supplies, bicycles and scooters, yard and garden tools, lamps and similar usable household goods. The shop does not accept padded furniture, electronics, food or liquids, batteries and mercury-containing devices, mattresses and box springs, child safety equipment, appliances or hazardous materials. The city notes that a transfer-station permit is not required to donate to or shop at Wink’s Place. Hours are limited to designated openings, so donors should check the current schedule. Save a trip! Call Wink’s Place Swap Shop first to confirm hours and that they are accepting what you’re bringing.
