Thompson Free Library Seed Library
Services
Thompson Free Library operates a community seed library and explicitly invites residents to bring in extra seeds they do not need so the seeds can be shared with neighbors. The program has received donated seeds from local farms, businesses, commercial seed companies, and library patrons. Donated seeds are then made available to community members who want to try new plants, flowers, or garden varieties.
This is a highly specialized donation outlet, useful only for viable garden seeds rather than general household property. It may nevertheless be relevant when an estate includes unopened or properly stored garden seed packets that remain suitable for use. Donors should not assume that gardening chemicals, tools, soil products, or unrelated garden materials are accepted as part of the seed library. Save a trip! Call Thompson Free Library Seed Library first to confirm hours and that they are accepting what you’re bringing.
