The What Not Shop – Hope Association
Services
The What Not Shop accepts gently used or new clothing and other reusable donated items during its published weekday donation hours. The store carries clothing, footwear, furniture, housewares, jewelry, sporting goods, toys, games and other thrift merchandise. Because item condition and storage needs can change, donors with large loads or unusual estate property should contact the shop before arrival and confirm that the specific goods are currently acceptable.
Proceeds support Hope Association programs and services for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, including activities and needs not otherwise reimbursed through MaineCare. For executors and families sorting estate contents, this location can provide a practical reuse option for qualifying items that remain usable rather than sending them directly to disposal. Donation capacity, seasonal needs, and item restrictions can change, so donors should review the current guidance before loading a vehicle. Save a trip! Call The What Not Shop – Hope Association first to confirm hours and that they are accepting what you’re bringing.
