The Lighthouse Variety Store, operated by Mississippi Christian Family Services in Rolling Fork, receives donated goods throughout the year, including local donations. The organization specifically identifies clothing, appliances, furniture, cookware, bedding and bath items among the goods needed for the store.

The store provides low-priced reusable goods to the surrounding community and uses donated merchandise in support of the ministry. Its broad hard-goods categories make it particularly relevant to executors and families sorting usable household property in Sharkey County. Large furniture, appliances or unusually sized estate loads should be confirmed before delivery.

For an executor, administrator, or family sorting estate property, this can be a useful targeted donation option when the listed goods are still usable but no longer needed by the estate. Do not assume the organization accepts every household item or an entire estate load. Confirm current condition standards, quantity limits, drop-off or pickup procedures, and whether bulky, unusual, or estate-sized donations can be accommodated before moving property.
