The Arc Rapides Thrift Store in Alexandria, Louisiana is a physical donation or reuse resource for gently used clothing, small appliances, toys, housewares and other practical thrift-store merchandise appropriate for reuse. The official Arc site confirms the thrift-shop program but does not publish a complete current acceptance matrix. Furniture, mattresses, large appliances, electronics, hazardous goods and damaged merchandise should be confirmed before delivery. Use the MacArthur Drive thrift store and call ahead for large estate quantities or bulky items; receiving details have been corroborated by current local nonprofit/community resource information.

The Arc Rapides thrift program supports services for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and provides a local resale/reuse outlet for donated goods. For an executor or family clearing an estate, this location may provide a reuse path for suitable property rather than disposal. Acceptance can change with storage capacity, condition, seasonal needs, safety rules, and resale or program demand, so confirm unusually large, fragile, upholstered, electrical, medical, or specialty items before transporting them.

Save a trip! Call The Arc Rapides Thrift Store first to confirm hours and that they are accepting what you’re bringing.
