This St. Mary Parish Library branch is a physical location in a system that accepts donations of books and other library materials. The library’s official FAQ explains that material gifts become the unconditional property of the library and may be added to the collection or otherwise disposed of under its Collection Development Policy. The library does not purchase used books or rare materials from the public, does not appraise donated material, and discourages direct material donations when items do not meet collection-selection standards. This is a focused reuse option for books, records, films, and other appropriate library materials; it should not be treated as a general donation center for clothing, furniture, appliances, household goods, tools, or other estate property. St. Mary Parish Library operates multiple community branches supporting information, education, recreation, technology, and public programming. Executors should contact the branch before delivering large quantities or specialized collections.
