St. Martin Parish Library — Main Library in St. Martinville, Louisiana is a physical donation or reuse resource for unrestricted and irrevocable gifts of books and other library materials that meet the same selection standards applied to purchased materials. The library may dispose of gifts that are not appropriate for the collection, and donated items cannot carry conditions. Donors should confirm damaged books, outdated reference works, obsolete media and large collections before delivery. Call the Main Library before bringing multiple boxes so staff can advise on current capacity, donation receipts and the appropriate receiving point.

The gift policy lets suitable estate books and media support public library service while giving staff flexibility to place or dispose of material according to community collection needs. For an executor or family clearing an estate, this location may provide a reuse path for suitable property rather than disposal. Acceptance can change with storage capacity, condition, seasonal needs, safety rules, and resale or program demand, so confirm unusually large, fragile, upholstered, electrical, medical, or specialty items before transporting them.

Save a trip! Call St. Martin Parish Library — Main Library first to confirm hours and that they are accepting what you’re bringing.
