Rumford Public Library
Services
Rumford Public Library accepts donations of books and DVDs at the library. Materials that are not needed for the collection may be directed to the Friends of the Library annual book sale. The library does not accept encyclopedias, medical books more than five years old, or items that are moldy, torn, dirty, or have an objectionable odor. This makes condition screening important before an executor brings material from an estate.
This is a focused book-and-media donation option, not a general household-goods program. Donors should sort collections beforehand and remove damaged, outdated, or prohibited material. The library’s current FAQ provides a straightforward drop-off rule, but a call ahead remains sensible for unusually large quantities so staff can confirm current capacity and timing. Save a trip! Call Rumford Public Library first to confirm hours and that they are accepting what you’re bringing.
