Rooted of St. Joseph County accepts physical donations to support children and families in foster-care transitions and other vulnerable situations. Its current site publishes weekly collection needs and provides regular drop-off hours at the Freedom Center in downtown Centreville. Rooted volunteers sort and store donated clothing, shoes, toiletries and other goods, and the organization also handles donated furniture through its storage operation. This is especially useful for executors with clean children’s or teen clothing, shoes, toiletries, basic household items or selected furniture. Because needs are specific and change frequently, donors should review current requests or call before bringing estate items.
