Portland Gear Hub is a nonprofit community bike and outdoor-gear shop that accepts donated bicycles, bike parts and accessories, cross-country skis, snowshoes, winter and outdoor apparel, complete tents, sleeping bags, sleeping pads and backpacks. The organization refurbishes usable equipment for resale or donation through its programs and salvages reusable parts from items that cannot be fully repaired.

The Gear Hub does not accept helmets, e-bikes, team sports equipment, golf gear, air mattresses, fuel canisters, some exercise equipment, wetsuits, personal flotation devices, non-outdoor clothing, undergarments, older lithium-battery items, downhill skis or climbing gear. For estates containing bicycles or outdoor equipment, this provides a specialized reuse route that keeps serviceable gear in circulation. Save a trip! Call Portland Gear Hub first to confirm hours and that they are accepting what you’re bringing.
