Pope County Historical Society is a Minnesota donation resource in Pope County that accepts proposed donations of Pope County artifacts, photographs, personal papers, business or organizational records, and related historical materials. A collections committee evaluates potential acquisitions, and not every offered item can be accepted. This is a specialized donation option rather than an unrestricted estate cleanout outlet, so donors should confirm that proposed items fit the organization’s current needs or collection policy before transporting them.

For executors and families sorting estate property, this resource may provide a local destination for qualifying items that otherwise need an appropriate reuse, charitable, or preservation outlet. Save a trip! Call first to confirm hours and that they are accepting what you’re bringing.
