When settling an estate, usable property does not always need to be discarded simply because the family cannot keep it. This resource may be appropriate for clothing and personal items, linens and soft household goods, and household goods and home contents that fit the organization’s stated acceptance guidelines. It gives executors and families another option when sorting a home, downsizing contents or preparing property for sale. Donation capacity and restrictions may change, so confirm large quantities and unusual items in advance.
