New to You Thrift Shop, operated by the Junior League of Alexandria, accepts donations of slightly worn or used clothing and household items, including furniture. The official shop page provides designated donation windows Tuesday through Friday and Saturday, so estate representatives should plan drop-off around those receiving hours. Items should be usable and appropriate for resale; the page does not publish a comprehensive exclusion list, so large, unusual or condition-sensitive items should be confirmed before delivery.

The shop has operated in Alexandria for decades and uses proceeds to support Junior League community projects and programs. It also provides affordable secondhand clothing and household merchandise to local shoppers. For an estate with clothing, furnishings or ordinary household contents, this is a useful Rapides Parish reuse outlet with a clearly identified physical donation site and public donation schedule.

Save a trip! Call New to You Thrift Shop first to confirm hours and that they are accepting what you’re bringing.
