New Beginnings accepts year-round in-kind donations for youth programs at its Lewiston administrative and outreach location. Its current wish list includes hygiene supplies, backpacks, footwear, tents, sleeping bags, selected clothing for ages 14–21, blankets, towels, twin bedding, flashlights, first-aid items, basic household supplies, office and art supplies, and pots and pans. Items may be dropped off at 134 College Street during published weekday hours or arranged with the donations staff.

The organization serves young people experiencing or at risk of homelessness. The current guidance notes that used clothing and linens are generally not accepted because of space and cleaning limitations, although outreach may accept certain items seasonally. Executors and families should therefore treat this as a targeted basic-needs donation option rather than a general household cleanout destination. Save a trip! Call New Beginnings, Inc. first to confirm hours and that they are accepting what you’re bringing.
