Monroe Community Library accepts gifts of books and other materials. Its donation policy welcomes books and audiovisual materials that meet the library’s selection standards and explains that donated items may be added to the collection or handled in another way if they are duplicates, dated, damaged, or otherwise not needed. The library does not accept encyclopedias, Reader’s Digest condensed books, mass-market paperbacks, magazines, VHS tapes, or cassette tapes.

The library may also consider historical materials relating to Monroe or its residents, but donors are asked to contact staff about those objects.
