The Maryland Durable Medical Equipment Re-Use Center in Cheltenham accepts selected reusable medical and mobility equipment for the state’s DME program. Current accepted categories include canes, geri chairs, Hoyer lifts, knee scooters, manual and power wheelchairs, power scooters, rollators, shower chairs, sit-to-stands, standing frames, transfer boards, transport wheelchairs, trapeze bars, and tub transfer benches.

The program does not currently accept several categories including bedside commodes, CPAP/BiPAP devices, crutches, hospital beds, disposable medical supplies, lift chairs, orthopedic braces, oxygen or respiratory equipment, walkers, heavily soiled or corroded equipment, and upholstered items. Donations at Cheltenham are directed to the large overhead door on the south side of the warehouse. Save a trip!
