Maryland’s Durable Medical Equipment Re-Use Program lists Delmarva Community Services in Cambridge as a donation site for reusable medical and mobility equipment. The statewide program currently accepts selected durable medical goods such as canes, knee scooters, manual wheelchairs, power wheelchairs and scooters, rollators, shower chairs, lifts, transfer boards, transport wheelchairs, and related mobility equipment.

The state’s current exclusion list includes bedside commodes, CPAP/BiPAP equipment, crutches, hospital beds, disposable supplies, oxygen and respiratory equipment, lift chairs, heavily soiled or corroded items, upholstered items, and walkers. The Cambridge site instructs donors to call the MAP office in advance to schedule a donation drop-off, making advance contact especially important for estate medical equipment. Save a trip!
