Love INC of West Mackinac County operates a local thrift store in Engadine and explicitly accepts donated household goods, clothing, furniture and similar reusable items during business hours. The program is particularly useful to executors handling a rural Mackinac County estate because it accepts several common categories of household personal property and uses resale activity to support local assistance programs.

The organization publishes important restrictions: it does not accept mattresses or bed pillows, broken furniture or appliances, old bulky televisions, computers, printers, used toilets, baby cribs, car seats, moldy or foul-smelling items, torn or dirty clothing, or goods covered with animal hair. Donations should not be left outside after hours. Save a trip! Call Love INC of West Mackinac County first to confirm hours and that they are accepting what you’re bringing.
