Lake of the Woods County Historical Society is a county historical society in Lake of the Woods County, Minnesota that accepts museum and historical items by prior arrangement with the museum. This provides executors and families with a local option for appropriate estate or household items that fit the organization’s mission and acceptance rules.

The museum asks prospective donors to call or email ahead, particularly outside its seasonal public hours. Acceptance may change with storage capacity, condition, staffing, or current needs. When accepted, suitable donations can support the organization’s programs or preservation work while giving usable estate property another productive destination. Save a trip! Call first to confirm hours and that they are accepting what you’re bringing.
