The Humane Society of Branch County maintains a published wish list for physical donations to its Quincy shelter. It accepts used blankets, rugs and towels, dog and cat crates, leashes and collars, pet food, cleaning supplies and other animal-care items. This is a specialty donation option for executors who encounter usable linens, pet equipment or related supplies while clearing a household.

The shelter is not a general-purpose household donation center, so estate items should be limited to its current animal-care needs. Used linens and some pet equipment are specifically welcomed, but donors should call before bringing unusually large quantities or goods not on the current wish list. Save a trip! Call Humane Society of Branch County first to confirm hours and that they are accepting what you’re bringing.
