Gratiot Animals in Need, or G.A.I.N., accepts selected animal-care donations at its St. Louis location. The organization currently lists cat and kitten food, cat litter, animal traps, dog and puppy food and other pet-related needs, with additional current wish-list items available through its Amazon and Chewy lists. This is a specialized donation outlet rather than a general resale shop, but it can be useful when an estate contains unopened pet food, litter, animal supplies or related equipment that matches the organization’s current needs. G.A.I.N. also operates pet-support and low-cost spay/neuter programs in Gratiot County. For executors, administrators and families clearing a residence, this can provide a focused outlet for qualifying estate property that matches the organization’s current needs.
