Freeport Community Services accepts donations at its nonprofit thrift shop, including clean clothing, shoes, jewelry, housewares, dishes, linens, lamps, small appliances, toys, bicycles, small tools, books, antiques and collectibles. Furniture and large rugs require advance contact. The shop does not accept mattresses, baby equipment, electronics, large appliances, exercise equipment, hazardous materials, textbooks or moldy books, among other restricted items.

Thrift-shop revenue supports Freeport Community Services programs, and the organization emphasizes reuse as a way to keep useful goods out of the waste stream. Executors and families can use this location for a broad mix of clean, complete, working household and personal items. Because furniture intake and other categories can depend on available space, larger estate donations should be discussed with the shop before delivery. Save a trip! Call Freeport Community Services Thrift Shop first to confirm hours and that they are accepting what you’re bringing.
