Central Closet at Central Square Congregational Church accepts new or gently used clothing, footwear, pocketbooks, jewelry, glassware, household items, toys, books, DVDs, CDs, and linens. The shop publishes clear condition standards: clothing and linens should be in season, clean, odor-free, and without pet hair, rips, stains, or missing fasteners; household goods should be clean and complete.

Donations are accepted only during stated shop hours, cannot be left at church or shop doors, and are limited to 20 items per visit. Electronics are not accepted. These specific limits make Central Closet best suited to executors with a selected batch of good-condition estate items rather than a large-volume cleanout. Save a trip!
