Cedar Chest Boutique — North
Services
Cedar Chest Boutique — North is one of TARC’s nonprofit Cedar Chest thrift locations and accepts quality, usable donated items at the store. TARC’s official page describes Cedar Chest merchandise such as clothing, shoes, toys, household items and other reusable goods, and states that donations can be brought to all boutique locations. Large appliances are specifically not accepted. Estate representatives with furniture, electronics, appliances or unusually large loads should contact the store before delivery because the published list is broad rather than exhaustive and space can vary by location.
Cedar Chest operations create paid work and additional opportunities for people served by TARC, an organization supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Donated items are sorted and prepared for resale; unsuitable textile items may be diverted to salvage rather than sold. This physical storefront therefore provides a practical local reuse outlet while supporting employment and TARC’s broader mission in the Bayou region.
Save a trip! Call Cedar Chest Boutique — North first to confirm hours and that they are accepting what you’re bringing.
