Caring Hands Outreach Center is a community-driven nonprofit serving eastern Polk County with compassion, providing food assistance, support services, and hope to neighbors in need. We gladly accept clean, gently used clothing for all ages, shoes, accessories, small household items, furniture, home décor, and more. Donated items should be in good, usable condition so they can be resold to support our mission. Every item purchased and every donation received directly supports the work of Caring Hands Outreach Center. Proceeds from the thrift store help fund our Caring Hands Food Pantry and outreach programs serving individuals and families throughout Polk County. When you shop or donate, you are making a meaningful difference in the lives of neighbors facing food insecurity and other challenges.
Caring Hands Outreach Center is a community-based organization committed to serving the needs of our neighbors in eastern Polk County. We work in partnership with local Christian churches and community organizations to provide essential services with compassion and dignity. Our food pantry, located in Altoona, offers vital support to those in need, and our thrift store—also in Altoona—plays a key role in sustaining these services through its sales.
Store Hours are Monday–Saturday | 10:00 AM–5:00 PM. Closed Sundays and holidays.
Donations are accepted during regular store hours, Monday through Saturday from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Please bring donations to the designated donation door located on the side of the building for easy drop-off.
