Auburn Public Library
Services
Auburn Public Library accepts donations of new books and used books in good condition, along with DVDs and CDs. Donated books should be free of mold, mildew, excessive dirt, major water damage, missing pages, or serious binding damage. The library does not accept encyclopedias, cassette or VHS tapes, computer software, Reader’s Digest condensed books, textbooks, dictionaries, or media lacking original artwork.
Accepted materials become library property and may be added to the collection, sold, given away, or otherwise handled according to library needs. This is a limited-category donation outlet rather than a general household-goods center, but it can be useful when an estate contains clean books or current media that meet the library’s standards. Save a trip! Call Auburn Public Library first to confirm hours and that they are accepting what you’re bringing.
